The conversation in the chat had little to do with the DTE. It was about one person asking another for a date and still another asking for a phone number,&#8221; said the report on PagalGuy.</p>
<p><strong>If you log on to the internet chatroom on the website of Maharashtra&#8217;s Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), don&#8217;t be surprised if you find yourself party to a whole host of bizarre conversations that have little or nothing to do with technical education.</strong> These conversations range from a series of the choicest expletives to something akin to a dating website, with boys and girls making plans to meet.</p>
<p>Ironically, a note on the chat site says the PRO (public relations officer) will answer questions on the first year diploma and degree in engineering and technology. But there was no sign of a PRO on this largely unregulated chat room and certainly no talk of an engineering degree.</p>
<p>When one of our members first logged on to the site, an argument was raging between two boys, who hurled foul abuses at each other. Another time, those logged on to the chat room bore the names of sports persons such as ‘Anjali Bhagwat&#8217; and ‘Zidane&#8217; with Bhagwat asking Zidane about his performance in the 2006 World Cup.</p>

<p><strong>2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<br />
A) NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP :<br />
</strong>A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India o r (ii) a subject  of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who  came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of  permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has  migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of  Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and  Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the  intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate  belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a  person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by  the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of  eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview  conducted by the Bank/IBPS but on final selection the offer of  appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility  certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.</p>
<p><strong>B) Education Qualification<br />
</strong>Graduation in any discipline preferably with MBA and having flair  for marketing the insurance, Mutual Fund and other products of the bank.  The candidate should possess<br />
i) passion for marketing<br />
ii) work independently &amp; also with team<br />
iii) computer literacy<br />
iv) good communication skills.<br />
Preference is given to those candidates who have prior experience in  marketing / insurance business. The candidate should have a good  physical fitness as the job involves extensive traveling and ready to  accept challenges and deliver the targets.<br />

<strong>3. JOBS PROFILE: </strong>Marketing the Insurance, Mutual Fund and other  products of the Bank. Responsible for end to end sales &amp; any other  work assigned by the bank from time to time.</p>

</strong>Rs.17000/- per month subject to achievement of minimum threshold  premium of Rs. 1.00 lac per month i.e.Rs12.00 lac per annum<br />

<p><strong>Variable Pay</strong> – Over &amp; above threshold limit. The variable  pay payable is equivalent to 15% of the commission received by the Bank.  The contract appointees, who fail to achieve performance with a minimum  target-<br />
Premium of Rs.3.00 lacs per quarter consecutively for two quarters,  beginning from the second quarter of their appointment shall cease to  continue as contract appointees of the bank from the last day of month  from the end of second quarter under review. However, if any candidate f  ails to achieve minimum threshold limit of Rs.3.00 lacs in any quarter  Bank reserves right to break their contract.</p>
<p><strong>6. OTHER BENEFITS:<br />

<p><strong>7. SELECTION PROCEDURE<br />
</strong>The selection will be on the basis of performance in the interview  for the shorlisted candidates through a screening test if need be.  Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle the candidate to  be called for interview. The Bank reserves the right to call the  requisite number of candidates for interview.</p>

<p><strong>ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT<br />
</strong>Candidates are advised in their own interest that they should not  furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated or should  not suppress any material information while filling up the application  form.<br />
At the time of written examination/interview, if a candidate is (or has  been) found guilty of:<br />
(i) using unfair means during the examination or<br />
(ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or<br />

(iv) resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with  his/her candidature by selection or<br />

(a) to be disqualified for screening test/interview for which he/she is a  candidate<br />
(b) to be debarred, either permanently or f or a specified period, from  any examination or recruitment conducted by Bank</p>
<p><strong>9. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS<br />
</strong>(a) The Bank is free to reject any application, at any stage of the  recruitment process, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post.  The decision of the Bank in any matter relating to recruitment at all  the stages of the recruitment process will be final and binding upon the  candidate. If appointed such a candidate may be summarily removed and  fees paid by the ineligible candidates shall be forfeited. No  correspondence or personal queries in this regard shall be entertained  by the Bank.<br />
(b) Only candidates willing to serve any where in India need apply.<br />
(c) Any dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to  the sole jurisdiction of courts situated at NCT of Delhi.<br />
(d) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.<br />
(e) All candidates will have to produce, if called for interview,  originals as well as attested photocopies of their educational and  experience certificates as well as caste certificate, an y other  certificate in support of their eligibility, failing which their  candidature will be canceled.<br />
(f) Candidates serving in Government/Public Sector Undertakings  (including banks) must produce a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their  employer if called for interview, failing which their candidature may  not be considered.<br />

(h) In case of any dispute on account of interpretation in any version  other than English, the English version shall prevail.<br />
(i) Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their being  declared medically fit as per the requirements of the Bank. Such  appointment will also be subject to the Contract &amp; Conduct Rules of  the Bank.<br />
(j) Candidates must necessarily be qualified by passing the IRDA Licence  Examination after their provisional selection. Provisionally selected  candidates shall be allowed to join the bank only if they acquire the  IRDA Licence within stipulated<br />
by the bank. The cost of the training shall be borne by the Bank with  the provision that in case of pre-mature termination of contract due to  non-performance or otherwise the same shall be recovered from the  contracted officer at the time of termination of contract. However, cost  of certification shall be borne by the applicant.<br />
(k) The bank will have the right to recover at its discretion , any loss  or money due to the bank from the amounts due and payable by the bank  without prejudice to any other remedies the bank may adopt for  recovering the same.<br />
(l) 10% of the basic will be deducted as employee’s contributor y  Provident Fund and monthly contribution will be provided by the bank  over and above fixed compensation. The employee’s contribution as well  as Bank’s contribution towards Contributor y Provident Fund shall be  settled at the time of cessation.<br />
(m) Applicable Income tax shall be deducted as per provisions.<br />

The company&#8217;s domestic sales stand at 26243 units, as against 22526 units in June 2009, an increase of 16.5%. Exports have grown by 179%.</p>
<p>The 3W-Gio-Maxximo range of products have registered a phenomenal growth of 125% over same period last year.</p>
<p>Despite the annual shutdown in the first week of June, the Auto Division had posted such strong growth rates.</p>
<p>The YTD UV sales which include the Scorpio, Xylo, Bolero and Pick-Ups, stand at 53948 units, as against 48720 units in June 2009, a growth of 11%.</p>
<p>The total YTD sales of Q1 F11 stand at 82093, as against 62869 for the same quarter of last year, a growth of 31%</p>

<p>Note: The reservations for the post of Investment Officers on  Contract shall be extended on All India basis, as per Government  guidelines.</p>
<p>The recruitment shall be on State-wise / Union territory-wise basis.  Candidates can apply for ONE STATE / UNION TERRITORY ONLY and have to  appear for the test, from a center allotted for that particular State /  Union Territory. On selection, candidates will be placed anywhere in  that state / union territory depending up on Bank’s need.</p>
<p>(a) The number of posts and the reservations provided are provisional  and may vary according to actual requirement of the Bank.<br />
(b) 3% of the total posts @ 1% each for VC, HI &amp; OC candidates are  reserved for the Persons with Disabilities.<br />
(c) As the reservation for PWD candidates is on horizontal basis, the  selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category to which  the candidate belongs. The above reservation is inclusive of shortfall /  backlog reservation.</p>
<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: All the eligibility criteria  [qualification, age etc] shall be computed as on 01.06.2010.</strong></p>

<p><strong>a. Qualification:<br />
</strong>A Graduate in any discipline, preferably with MBA, and having  flair for marketing the Insurance, Mutual Fund and other products of the  Bank. All the qualifications mentioned should be from a recognized  University / Institution.<br />
Knowledge (Read / Write / Speak) of the local language of the State /  Union Territory for which he / she is applying, is essential.</p>
<p>Candidates must necessarily be qualified by passing the IRDA License  Examination after their provisional selection, at their own cost.  Provisionally selected candidates shall be allowed to join the bank only  if they acquire the IRDA License within the period stipulated by the  Bank.</p>
<p><strong>Candidate should possess the following;<br />
</strong>- Passion for Marketing<br />
- Work independently and also with team<br />
- Computer literacy<br />
- Good communication skills</p>
<p>Preference will be given to those candidates who have prior  experience in marketing / insurance business. Since the job involves  extensive travelling, candidates should have good physical fitness and  ready to accept the challenges &amp; meeting the targets.</p>
<p><strong>COMPUTER LITERACY: </strong>Operating computer systems in  MS-DOS, MS Windows, Basic concepts of Networking &amp; Connectivity, MS  Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail etc.] shall be an essential  qualification, which a candidate must either possess or acquire within 6  months from the date of joining the Bank.</p>
<p><strong>HINDI KNOWLEDGE: </strong>The candidates shall acquire  working knowledge of Hindi, if not possessed already, within 6 months  from the date of joining the Bank.</p>
<p><strong>b. Job Profile:</strong><br />
Marketing the Insurance, Mutual Fund and other products of the Bank.  Responsible for end-to-end sales. Any other work assigned by the Bank  from time to time.</p>
<p><strong>c. Period of Contract:</strong><br />
Three [3] years with an option to extend for two years at the discretion  of the Bank.</p>
<p><strong>d. Compensation:</strong><br />
Fixed Pay: Rs.15000/- per month subject to achievement of minimum  threshold premium of Rs.1 lakh per month i.e., Rs.12 lakhs per annum.</p>

<p><strong>Variable Pay:</strong></p>
<p>Over and above the threshold limit, he/she will be entitled for  variable pay and the variable pay is equivalent to 15% of the commission  received by the Bank, which shall be paid quarterly.</p>
<p>The  contract appointees, who fail to achieve performance with a minimum  threshold premium of Rs.3.00 lakhs per quarter, consecutively for two  quarters, beginning from the second quarter of their appointment shall  cease to continue as contract appointees of the bank from the last day  of the month from the end of the second quarter under review. However,  if any candidate fails to achieve minimum threshold limit of Rs.3 lakhs  in any quarter, Bank reserves right to cancel the contract appointment.</p>
<p><strong>e. Other Benefits:</strong></p>
<p>Casual Leave – 10 days per calendar year<br />
Annual Leave- 20 days in a calendar year</p>
<p>The Annual Leave can be encashed to the extent of 50% every year.  Carry over of unavailed casual / annual leave shall not be permitted.</p>
<p><strong>f. Other Conditions:<br />
</strong>1. Applicable Income Tax shall be deducted as per provisions.<br />
2. Either party may terminate the contract by giving one month notice in  writing / by remitting one month’s fixed compensation amount.<br />
3. The Bank will have the right to recover at its discretion, any loss  or money due to the Bank, from the amounts due and payable by the Bank  without prejudice to any other remedies the Bank may adopt for  recovering the same.<br />
4. 10% of the Basic will be deducted as employee’s contribution towards  Contributory Provident Fund and monthly contribution will be provided by  the bank over and above the fixed compensation. The employee’s  contribution as well as Bank’s contribution towards Contributory  Provident Fund shall be settled at the time of cessation.<br />
5. The Contract Appointee shall not be eligible for any perquisites  whatsoever which are payable to permanent employees of the Bank.<br />
6. Officers recruited under the contract system are not eligible for  pension in any form.</p>
<p><strong>NATIONALITY / CITIZENSHIP:<br />
</strong>A candidate must be either i] a citizen of India or ii] a  subject of Nepal or iii] a subject of Bhutan or iv] a Tibetan refugee  who came over to India before 01.01.1962 with the intention of  permanently settling in India or v] a person of Indian origin who has  migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of  Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,  Ethiopia &amp; Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in  India provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii),  (iv) or (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of  eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.</p>
<p><strong>RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT<br />
</strong>(i) Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates – by 5 years;<br />
(ii) Other Backward Classes candidates – by 3 years;<br />
(iii) Persons with Disabilities by 10 years;<br />
(iv) All persons who are ordinarily domiciled in Kashmir Division of  J&amp;K State during 01.01.80 to 31.12.89 – by 5 years;<br />
(v) Ex-servicemen – Commissioned Officers including those ECOs / SSCOs  who have rendered at least 5 years Military service and have been  released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment  is due to be completed on or before 30.09.2010) otherwise than by way of  dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or  physical disability attributable to Military service or on invalidment –  by 5 years.</p>

The written test is tentatively fixed on 05.09.2010 at the following  Centres. The exact venue address of the test will be intimated in the  Test Call Letter.</strong></p>

<p>* Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail id. In case,  candidate is not having valid e-mail id, he/she should create a new  e-mail id. This e-mail id should be valid for the duration of the  project.<br />
* Candidates should have remitted the requisite fee in any branch of  Canara Bank and should have details of payment made OR Candidates should  have remitted the requisite fee in any other Bank through NEFT and  should have details of payment made.<br />

<p><strong>GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:<br />
</strong>a) Candidates have to register on-line through Bank’s website  only. No other means of applications shall be entertained.<br />
b) Admission to the written test / calling for interview is purely  provisional without verification of age / qualification / category etc.  of the candidates. Mere receipt of call letter for written test /  interview does not imply that the Bank is satisfied about the  candidate’s eligibility. Candidates should ensure their eligibility  before paying the fees / applying / attending the written test /  interview. Bank reserves right to reject ineligible candidate’s  applications at any stage and the fee paid by ineligible candidates  shall be forfeited.<br />
c) The Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and the  fee once paid will not be refunded on any account nor would this fee be  held in reserve for future examination / selection.<br />
d) Applications which are incomplete in any respect will be rejected and  the fee will be forfeited.<br />
e) Candidates will have to appear for the written test and interview at  their own expenses. However, outstation SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities  category candidates called for interview will be paid II class to &amp;  fro train fare or actual expenses incurred, whichever is less, by  shortest route on production of proof of travel. The above concession  will not be admissible to SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities category  candidates who are already in service in Central / State Government,  Corporations, Public Undertakings/ Local Government, Institutions and  Panchayats etc.<br />
f) Candidates serving in Government / Public Sector Undertakings  (including Banks) are required to produce a “No Objection certificate”  from their employer at the time of interview, in the absence of which  their candidature will not be considered.<br />
g) Only candidates willing to serve anywhere in the State / Union  Territory for which he / she applied, should apply<br />
h) Decision of the Bank in all matters regarding eligibility of the  candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be  undertaken, the documents to be produced for the purpose of the conduct  of interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment  will be final and binding on the candidate. Further, the Bank reserves  right to stall / cancel the recruitment partially / fully at any stage  during the recruitment process at its discretion, which will be final  and binding on the candidate<br />

k) The successful candidates in written test are required to submit all  the documents pertaining to Age, Qualification, Experience, Caste etc at  the time of interview. These documents will be verified at the time of  interview. If any candidate found ineligible while verifying the  documents, shall not be allowed to take up interview.<br />
l) Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / Persons with Disabilities  categories should keep ready an attested copy of certificate issued by  competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by Government  of India. In case of candidates belonging to OBC category, certificate  should specifically contain a clause that the candidate does not belong  to creamy layer section excluded from the benefits of reservation for  Other Backward Classes in Civil post &amp; services under Government of  India. Chief Guest for the occasion, Sri Himmat Abhilash Tank, Additional SP, Ajmer launched the safety awareness drive.</p>
<p>Speaking on the occasion, Sri. Himmat Abhilash Tank, said &#8220;safety of people at such large gatherings is of paramount importance. Many untoward incidents can be avoided if proper messaging and information are made available to the visitors, easily and in a handy manner. It is good to see the corporate sector partnering with a government agency to ensure all round safety&#8221;.</p>
<p>On this occasion, Sri Sameer Singh &#8211; Additional SP, Ajmer and Sri J K Purohit &#8211; Additional District Magistrate, Ajmer commended the efforts of Amway.</p>

</strong>Graduate  of  the  Institute  of  Fire Engineers  (India/UK)  or  should have completed  Divisional Officers Course  at  National  Fire  Service College  (NFSC), Nagpur or should be  B.E. (Fire)from NFSC.</p>
<p><strong>Experience<br />
</strong>Candidate  should  have   intimate knowledge  of  hydrant  system,  fire detection  system,  sprinkler  system and  evacuation problems and also have   minimum 5 years  experience as Station Officer or  equivelent post in a City Fire  Brigade or in a State Fire Service or In-charge Fire Officer in  big  industrial  complex.  Practical experience is not  essential  in  case of candidate  possessing B.E. (Fire) degree  from National Fire Service College,  Nagpur.</p>

<p><strong>SELECTION PROCEDURE : </strong>Valid Registered applicants will be short listed post wise by the committee of specialists/experts and shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview. Final selection will be on the basis of performance of interview alone. The candidate called for interview are entitled to 1st class / AC III Tier to &amp; fro railway fare or bus fare by the shortest route on production of evidence of travel (rail / bus ticket).</p>
